where is a good ground in the back of an 84 for a amp and sub?

The shorter the better. I used a distribution block and used the bolt that mounts the driver's seat to the car. I have no noise at all.

Iv'e run the cable straight back to the battery, sound is crystal clear and there's no worries about bad connections, mine's mounted on the back "wall" of the rear compartment
