Dash Pad??
I have a 1988 C4 and noticed that it doesn't have a thick passengers side dash pad. It just has a regular looking piece of plastic. Did some come like this or are they all supposed to have that pad?

Some don't like the look of the pad, so they remove it. I'm not a fan of the flat panel because it's something that everyone notices right away as being aftermarket and different from the original design. Some look ok, but others look very generic and cheap.

Sometimes these are not just a flat panel. Some suppliers sold a glove compartment kit so you could have a place to store things other than the center console.
