Targa Question (update)
so my cars an 89 even the vin says so but the roof panels front threads are the type for the roofs from 86-88 .... wtf ???? they aren't the triangle shaped plates on the front like for a usual 89-96 roof they are the 86-88 style where the plate is sort of a t shape. heres a picture of the different plates...

andy, yup car was repainted to white, its supposed to be red, RPO sticker says its supposed to be red aswell. odd though that the vin is for an 89 but the roof is of the 86-88 style. maybe whoever had it before me replaced it with parts from an 86-88. really weird but whatever i've got the problem solved now just to get my hands on the right targa.
is there anyway to actually just make any year targa fit on any year car?
cuz most parts for the c4's are very interchangeable and i would assume the little brackets on the front of the targa could be removed and replaced with whatever type brackets your car would need.
