Man that sounds like ya had a blast. No Damage then huh? How does the muffler delete make her run / sound?

You can pick up a few 10ths if you let the engine cool down before you make a run. (140* or less in the staging lanes before you fire it up)
Make sure your ASR is turned off. Don't rev too high, or else the rev-limiter will make your engine cut out.
Also, those 60' times are very important in running better. (under 2.0 would be great for a street car)

...and forget about that "reaction time"! Get that out of your head, launch (after the green) when YOU are ready, on your terms. That is how you learn your car and make progress with you're driving. THrowing the reaction time in there only complicates things. Your time doesn't start until your wheels clear the beams...so wait until the light turns green, then go when YOU are ready. You should be able to go 13.5 for sure, with more dialed driving.

Thanks everyone yea I am really looking forward to next time especially because I started making progress and I KNOW there is much more in her

everything went really well, I love the way she sounds with the muffler deletes, I'm not really sure how big of a difference they are from stock power wise but I do enjoy the sound very much

Very good info, I forgot about the asr on the first run but I had it turned off for the second and third runs, she launched and shifted hell of a lot quicker She was running hot, about 220-230 everytime. very good point there, I want to get a different thermostate because the fans don't kick on until 230 and only cools down to around 215 before turning off and allowing the temps to start climbing back up again

There is a reason my car has a manual fan switch.

I don't think the muffler eliminators add any hp or tq. But they sound like you did.

Some motivation for you. Left lane.

The thermostat doesn't tell the fans when to come on. That's controlled by the computer. (Thermostat opens with the coolant temperature to allow coolant to flow through the radiator)
A 180* thermostat is what I would use for a street car, (I have one in mine), but have your ECM tuned to turn on the fans sooner. Or install a manual switch to run it when you please.

Or just run the A/C until you're staged.

Was your corvette stock when you ran the 13.38?

His is, or close to it...he'll give you the details, but those numbers and even better are possible w/a stock LT1 C4. Mine goes 13.75's at 4500' elevation. If at sea level, I'd be 13.0x's. Bone stock.

When that pass as made only mods where: manual fan switch, x-pipe in place of resonator, muffler eliminators, A-mold style reprod. wheels with 275/40ZR17's Kumho Escta SPT's at 26psi, alignment setup for auto-x.

I had different than stock transmission and diff. fluids if you want to get technical. Other than that BONE stock.

The 60' is the where the magic happens. If you look at my trap speed around 105 that is about right for decent air and good shifting for a stock LT1 ZF6 coupe.

60' and good shifting. You'll never get good time unless you get a decent 60' and can shift, FAST. I think I'm just ok at shifting, I've been told I'm quite fast by others however.

I think with ideal conditions at PRP (1400 foot elevation) and my BEST driving, consistent 13.2's are possible from my car as it sits. At sea level and good air 13.0's.

Others have done it too. Mr. Magoo has ran his C4's in the low 13's and even broke into the 12's once or twice.

I have a Z07 spring/bar setup under the car, lowered it a bit now, LT4 valve springs, MUCH more aggressive auto-x alignment, not been to the track this year, no time and I want to rebuld my diff. this winter before I continue to beat on it. God only knows if the springs, etc...make any difference or not. Well see come 2014.

Also, take a look at my time slip carefully, you see some writing showing thru from the back. I note my coolant temps, launch RPM, how it felt, tire pressure, other info, like launch technique used, etc...on the back after a run. Gives me a log book of sorts.
