I was just detailing the inside of my ruby and I noticed something that I obviously did not before. The driverside door trim, the part that has the window switches and stuff is black, it goes up to the mirror and back down the other side of the door to the back of the door and then I looked at the passenger side door and the same trim part is the ruby red color
I am guessing that is not the correct way for it to be and which is the correct color? I am guessing it is the black one is the correct color.
Looks strange, doesn't it? Do not fret though, your door panels have not been replaced or altered, contrasting panels are factory furnished (it just looks weird until you get used to it). :D
That is to make it look like it "wraps" around the driver.
We used to point that out to guys at Cruise Nights, and freak them out. One guy thought his "pristine" '93 had been wrecked and they didn't put the correct door panel in. LOL
