Where are you located?
What year is the car? They are not all the same.
Do you have the original speakers or are they aftermarket speakers?
In general, an aftermarket radio will not work with the original Bose speakers.
You can absolutely run an aftermarket radio with your original speakers and amps if they are in good condition and you purchase the correct interface such as the one below. Crutchfield will sell you a plug and play version of this one. I'm running an Alpine 9855 with ipod interface and original speakers with rebuilt amps and the sound is great.
If you want to get good sound without having to mess with all of the wires some companies offer bolt in amplifiers that just plug into the back of the head unit. I have a jeep with an alpine head unit and an alpine "power pack" that boosts the RMS power from 18 to 45(which is what most speakers ask for) its pretty reasonably priced and it makes a huge world of difference
I'm In Quebec, Canada. My car is a 84 ( i always forget to write this information lol )
It have about nothing, just old aftermarket radio that i don't work with old speaker in the left door ( i don't check more, but probably not better stuff)
The original amplificator are gone.
If possible i'm looking for "ready to go" speaker, i don't want to waste a lot of time to try to make fit them.
Does someone have a brand and/or part number of "ready to go" speaker (at least for the door for the moment) ?
I just installed a new double din Alpine unit in my 92 convertible. We used the original Bose speakers and it sounds great. If you only have one bad speaker, I would use another new Bose speaker, they are about $75.00. The most important thing is to find a good stereo shop that knows what they are doing. Most shops that install have a room with all the stereos, speakers and amps that they sell. They can switch back and forth among all three so you can see the differences. Good speakers and amps aren't cheap.
