Default Where is the wheel wrench stored?

I just purchased a 92 convertible and was looking through the owners manual about changing a flat tire. The manual says to use the wheel wrench to lower the spare tire and remove the lug nuts. I can't seem to find where it is stored in the car. Can someone tell me where to find it.

Behind the drivers seat it attached to the backside of the rear seat bolts. That is if the PO returned it

If it isn't in plain sight behind the driver's seat, try lowering the spare tire carrier. You should find the jack in the spare's wheel hub, and maybe the owner kept the wrench with the jack.

The carrier bolt is the same size as a lug nut, so a 3/4 socket will fit the carrier bolt.

If neither jack nor wrench are with the car, ebay is a source for replacement.

It might be behind the passenger seat. That's where it is in my friend's car. I'm not sure what year he has. Early '90s.

Mine's in the storage compartment on the passenger side. Some early C4s had a recess in the radiator shroud for the wrench.

Not 100% sure about your year convertible but on my 86 it is mounted on the underneath the hood next to the wheel cap on the passengers side. It is held on with two wing nuts.

Thanks everyone. After I tilted the front seat forward, there it was right at the end of the bottom portion of the seat. It needs some paint to make it look right but spending $5.00 for can of black spray paint was much better than spending $40.00 for a new one.

The wrench is not unique to corvette. I got mine (ws missing) at pull-a-part for $3.00

Same things on things like jacks, etc. Many things aren't necessarily unique to Corvettes as they were used throughout the GM line over the years.
