Default Need some help

What's up guys/gals. It started yesterday, I went to go pump gas and the car didn't want to start. I waited about 5 minutes, then she started like normal. When the engine didn't start, the engine was at 160 degrees. Today, I went WOT. When I got to about 40-45 MPH, the car didn't shift and the engine turned off, and the service engine soon light came on. Luckily I made it home. I wanted to put the C4 in the garage, I go back outside to see if it would start, and it did. Started up completely normal. Oh, when the engine started back up, there was no service engine soon light on. Car is a '93 LT1.

Any ideas?

No start, shuts off when hot. I put money on the ICM.

On second thought, need the answer to Vetteoz question.

Crank, no fire ICM

No crank, check the 'security' light on the dash. If it is on when you trun the key, it's a vats issue.

Thanks for the responses. No, the security light wasn't on when the car wouldn't start. It would crank, just wouldn't fire up. What really scared me was when I was doing WOT and the engine turned off.

Just had this same issue. My culprit was the opti.

lt4obsesses was correct. My dad helped me today, and we replaced the ICM. Problem solved, Vette is well!

Thank you all for the help.

Glad to here your car is up and running again. I had the same issue and fix a while back. The ICM is a easy and pretty cheap fix and wish they were all like that.

Mounted on the head, front passenger side and thats why it is so important to use the heat sink on the installation.
