Default C4 91-96 Tail Light Project

As many of you know, we designed a fixed position projector headlight system for C4 Corvettes. We are still working on a HID kit for that system (DOT legal kit only). We will also use the HIDs for a upcoming C5 kit.

We are working on a few projects now:
-C4 air induction system in carbon fiber
-HID headlamp system
-Battery relocation box
-C5 fixed headlamp system
-Lip Spoiler (mainly for my car)
-Front Spoiler (mainly for my car)
-C4 Frame brace
-C4 91-96 Tail Lamps

This thread is for the Tail lamps. I have seen most of the available stock and LED systems available. I mostly like the stock design with a few exceptions. I want to eliminate the screw holes that hold the lenses on and I want to change the reflex reflector design. I have looked for a LED system that I like, but most of them are not DOT legal. If they don't have the reflex reflectors and still say DOT, they are lying to you. Original C4 tail lights have built in reflex reflectors. Below is a photoshop picture of the design I am working towards. I would like to bond the lens and reflector together to eliminate exterior screws. I can change the finish of the reflector, adjust the lens design and use LED replaceable bulbs to adjust the look and performance. I want to steer clear of the built in LED bulb designs because I don't want my car to look like a light bright. No offense to those that love light bright.

I am looking for feedback on this design before I have prototypes made. As far as price, I am looking to keep the final product around $200 as a complete set. If enough people are interested, I may offer $100 per set for preorders.

Thanks,
Brandon

It's nice to see some vendors here still coming up with new ideas for the C4 crowd. I'd be interested to see the air induction project.

I would like to see a night shot of the tail lights. Love the headlights but right now not real excited about the tail lights. Just my opinion.

I won't do tail lights until the front lights are available as well. To me it just doesn't match.

This sounds very interesting. If they have the halo type design that would be great. How will they be attached?

I'd be interested, been looking for LED, but not liking anything I have seen. The square LED pattern just doesn't do it for me. If you did the halo effect....put me on the list. I'm assuming the mounting would be from the rear using the same mounting holes that already exsist?

Oh, and while your at it, look at the thrid break light. All I've seen is black, smoked, clear LED housing. I would like something in LED, red faced (matching factory).

Default Photoshop lights

Here is my conception of perfect C-4 tail lights. Can I get a He!! Yea:

I'd buy this all day long. $200+
1. Factory formed and reflector
2. Halo LED rings, double ring would be why cooler. We C4ers like to be special.
3. Screws either way no issue.
4. Third brake light LED with red face, some thing that looks factory until the LEDs light up. $120 all day long.

I'm willing to help any one to get this off the ground!
