Default Please explain..

Why A ride in the vette is so great. I am working this summer and got home today with alot on my mind. I took the top off and went down some old country roads and then around campus. It was awesome and now I can't remember what I was worried about. I know this is a stupid thread but I just had to say it.

Yep. I just don't know what it is.

I could afford any car really. A viper, a used Ferrari (laugh)... Porsche.... but I just want a C4... it's just perfect.

I agree. The Vette is like crack, or anything else one is addicted to. I am not an addict, but nothing fills that void like my baby.

That's why I drive mine daily. My work is less than fulfilling... way too much politics. I look forward to that 18 mile commute in the morning and afternoon....... driving the Vette takes me to a different place. Windows down, no radio... just that beautiful sound of 300 HP......

We need to recruit some psychiatrists to come to the Forum and evaluate this.
I totally agree. Not matter what's on my mind, no matter what my mood, no matter what the problem...after a nice drive in the Vette, it is all OK.

On a side note...I get the same metal relaxation sitting in my driveway just looking at the Vette...almost like watching water trickle into a pond.

[QUOTE]Windows down, no radio... just that beautiful sound of 300 HP......

Just tacking on my $.02 I pulled my radio 2 days ago to try and get the blasted Blows CD player repaired. BTW - turns out the damn thing is made in Japan by the parent of Panasonic and I've been yelling at Delco and Blows all this time. Anyway, I need my music while I'm driving so I was dreading the week or two that this repair would take. It's not that bad though. I've been enjoying the sound of that LT1. Each shift is like music.

I don't have my 'vette yet, I will by the end of the week once all the paperwork is done. I know how you guys feel though. Here in San Antonio it's hot. I mean, it's DAMN hot. That is, until it is about 12:00 AM and no one is on the roads, it's so darn peaceful and no breeze, but it's just a great temperature outside, like a perfect 72 degrees. I can't wait to take the top off, put the windows down, and just cruise for a while.

You have 2 very important factors going for you:
1. You have a Vette to drive and 2 You are able to drive it around Tuscaloosa!!

Some of my best memories are of Tuscaloosa. We lived close to T'town for 10 years before moving to Kentucky. Graduated from Alabama in 1980. Only wish I could have had my Vette when I was there.

There is just something about being able to tune out the rest of the world when you get in your Vette. It's like you are in your own special place and time. Corvettes are not just cars, "they are a lifestyle"

Keep on enjoying the ride and "SAVE THE WAVE"

I love to ride by Denny Chimes and then over by the law school. I hope that I will move over to the law school in a couple years.
