Assuming the new PCM was programmed with the proper engine calibration the engine should start and run.
Have you shorted pin 4 to pin 12 on the diagnostic connector above the drivers right knee and verified if any codes are set?
You never mentioned checking the fuel pressure with a gauge.
Pull the vacuum hose off of the fuel pressure regulator and verify there is no
fuel in the vacuum hose.
After the engine runs for a second and then shuts off have you verified
by cranking the engine if there is still spark to the plugs?
What happens if you reinstall the original PCM are the symptoms the same?
..... What was it doing that caused you to change the ECM in the first place ? ... basically the ECM is not receiving the necessary feedback from the ignition system that tells it that the engine has started ... OR ... your fuel pump is not up to the task ... put a fuel pressure gauge on it and start troubleshooting the issue ... if you do not have a Helms factory service manual , now is the best time to invest in one ..........
