I have a 1992 LT-1 vette. I just bought it for 5500. I found out it needs a water pump and ox sensor, and tune up. This is costing me 2200. So i have almost 8 grand in this now, will i be able to sell it for 9 or 10???It has 120,000 miles.

Sounds like you are getting hosed on the work. A WP should cost you a couple of hundred for the item. They are not difficult to replace. Hardest part is getting ALL of the old gasket material off of the block mating surface. An O2 sensor should not be more than $150. Make sure you really need one before you buy. (There are two.)
There is not a lot to "tune up" on a LT1....essentially plugs and wires. Changing those can be a pain though, due to restricted working space.
If you cannot do the work yourself, then this car is going to cost you $$$. Hopefully you didn't buy it to flip it.
I hope you haven't had the work done yet because like 92ragtop said your getting HOSED. Maybe half that would make more sense and even that could be high just depending on what was done on the entire job.
Getting hosed big time and I don't think you have much of a chance to get that much back out of the car. You don't buy these cars expecting to get back what you put into it. If so, you might want to unload it before you put more into it.
If you don't do your own mechanical work, and if money's an issue..and you are concerned about resale value, and don't want to keep the car (very) long term, cut your losses ; unload it before you put a boatload of more money in it.

Keep in mind you only paid 5500 for the car with 120000 miles on it not knowing it needed that work.
Why would the next guy pay 9 or 10?
maintenance type repairs add no value.
You would be ahead financially to sell it now to a "do it yourself" buyer and just tell him what it needs.
You may be able to get close to your money back rather than spend another 2200 and still have a 5500 car.
That seems very high. If you can't do your own work on these cars, or don't have a friend who can, you can find yourself upside-down on these cars in a hurry.
5500 for a 92 with 120k miles, and needing repairs,,,NOT a good buy. my son and i recently bought a 94 6-speed for 3k but it will have a new engine, rear end, all suspension ( poly and heim joints ) and brakes ( rotors/caliper/pads/bearings/u-joints ). will have 9-10k in it when all is said and done but it will be basically a new 94 and the op thinks he can get 9-10k flipping his?
Good advice above. Look for someone else to work on it.
I have brand new in-the-box AC Delco waterpump for a '92 LT1 ('92 waterpump is one year only) I'd sell for $225 shipped if you really do need a waterpump.
well there is distributor cap, new hoses, and other stuff, but i agree its too much.I think i rushed into this a bit fast, but i still have a bit less then 8000 in it and it is in top condition now. I think i will be happy with it.
With 8K in the car your not going to make money on the car but thats not a bad place to be either. If it's in nice condition just enjoy the car because these vettes are just a blast to drive. My 93 is just the most enjoyable car I've ever owned and I've had more than my fair share over the years.
The Distributor (Optispark) makes the 2200 a good deal.
Enjoy it.
He said only the cap...still a lot of money for the work..I had the trans replaced for 1800.00 with a new converter...if you plan on keeping the car you're going to have to work on it yourself. I bought a 92 vert with 80K on it for 5500.00 and have dumped at leat another 10 into it...and will never get it back...get the service manuals..and tools..and post up any probs..there is always an answer here..
