Default Drag radials

I'm looking to expand the tire size availability for my 16x10.5 wheels. Seems my only options are drag radials. I don't really plan on racing it (drag or auto x), and only drive 3000 or so miles per year. How much street usage can these typically take? I don't really take it out in the rain, but occasionally will get caught in some. Are they safe enough if I do get caught in a storm? Thanks for any advice!

If you can try and find a street tire
Wider they are seems easier they hydroplane in the rain
Driven mine a few times on the hwy in the rain no problem but it could happen pretty fast street tires are safer.

The harder Drs will last longer but wont stick as good so longevity takes a back seat imo to the real need for DRs.

Thanks very much for your advice and input. I could go with some street tires which is what is on them now, but with the width of the wheel it would be better to have a slightly wider tire. Guess I have some more thinking to do, but luckily I still have time left on what's on them now.
