'88 Factory CD Player
I recently bought an 88 coupe that has the Bose stereo and CD player. Although it looks factory stock, I've read that CD players weren't available until around 1990. Does anyone know if the CD option was available prior to 1990? Thanks.

no it wasn't. You most likely have a Camaro CD in your car

Look at your "RPO" codes under your console lid. Look at your "U" codes, If you have "UIF" or "U1F" you have Delco Bose Stereo System w/ CD and Cassette. If you have "UU8" you have Delco Bose AM/FM Stereo System and Cassette. Mine says "UU8" but has the 'U1F" System, so either someone swapped mine out, or it came with the 35th Anniversary Edition options.
