Default 92 vette conv with light problem

Went and checked out a 92 vert yesterday and found a problem with the lights.

It starts and runs fine however the turn signal lights start to flash and then go out after about 10 to 15 minutes. The center display flashes if you activate the right turn signal.

No sure if it is within the security system as the horn does not blow even though it does when you push the horn button.

Additionally, there is a red LED at the top of the left flairing near the A/C vent. There is not one my 92 coupe so I am wondering if it is aftermarket system.

It has 43k on it and is in really great condition except for the lights. Considering buying it for the wife so that she will have her own. Any help would be appreciated.

It's more than likely just that the car needs a new turn signal flasher, they are very difficult to get at and people just don't bother to go thru the trouble as long as the lights flash for inspection.

Some years the flasher in behind the radio like the way my old 88 was, my 90 was under the dash where you had to remove the panel under the gauge pod and the aluminum panel under that.

You need patience and the will to have everything as it should be, the horn is more than likely the plastic piece under the steering wheel a cheap part with lots of labor to install.

If it is a nice vert don't let it get away for a few problems.

Thanks for the reply.

The horn works fine but does not sound when the lights act like a tripped security system.

I am not sure about the flasher being the problem. When the right turn signal is activated the center display lights up all of the messages and the parking lights flash as if the security system has been tripped.

He is asking 10k for it and will not budge. If it is something serious going on with the lights it could get really expensive.

Going back to check on it this afternoon.

Any ideas on what could be causing the problem?

Thanks for any info.
