I recently bought an 84 Vette with a 92 hood replacement. Does this affect the overall value of the car?? This is the first Corvette i have owned, so i do not have a lot of knowledge on Corvettes.

You will find an 84 (most C4's) will have no collector value so it won't really matter what changes you make.
Just have fun and don't worry about what someone else thinks the value may be.
I don't know how that is working, the 84 is a one year only hood and motor. It has a ram air design for the snorkels on the air cleaner. I think it would make a difference
it would make a difference in the running of the engine, imo. the air cleaner housing has ducts that mate with the hood on the 84 and this is used an an air induction system.
We need pics.. That said, some day the 84 will be worth more to a collector. ALL Vettes have had a down turn in value, then people wake up to them. Short term, the value will not go up. The 84, like the '68 was a first year model with problems and never as good as the following years. Don't worry about it. Unless there is a mechanical issue or you plan on going for a NCRS top flight award.. Drive it and enjoy it.

This is PARTIALLY correct. It does have the ducts and matesd with the hood. But it has no forced air source. It all ends at teh radiator cowling. I have seen a thread here where the radiator cowling ws cut out, but i was chicken to do it to mine.
hi again. i put a picture on the Vette. i went back though and traded it in for an '86 2-tone, silver on top of black. lost a little cash, but gained on looks and low miles. 47,000. i should have bought a Corvette 25 yrs. ago!! Love the car:-)

Ok, so since your first post to this thread you have traded out of the '84 into an'86? Good move, but still no pictures....
We need proof of life here.. No picture means no car...

I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger and cutting the opening. Already made a template...
