Checked KKB selling price on my 1996 Corvette and found that it has increased $5K ($13000) sense I had checked last year.($8200)
Anyone have knowledge on what's going on?
Paul
I don't regard KBB as a reliable indicator of value on a C4 (or much of anything else in the Corvette world).
That said, I believe that given enough time, the value of unmolested, relatively stock C4's will go up (or perhaps just not continue to go down).
I know that I'd hold out for $10k - $12k for mine ('95 black coupe, 1SB, six speed, and Bloomington Gold certification).
A lot will depend on the success of the C7. If it takes off, then C6 prices will fall, and there will be some pressure on the newer C5 prices, too. I don't think falling C6 and C5 prices will have much effect on C4 prices, though.

How dare you report the value is going up on C4's! Some of these guys are really going to get upset now! Wait for it.....they'll soon be chiming in for sure.
Take KBB and cut in half. Then you might have a starting point. In my area, Lots of cheap C4 cars on Craigslist listed over and over and not selling. There is a guy a few miles from me with a nice white 91 coupe with 80K on it and has had $6000 on the window for a year. Cant sell it to save his life.
We've got another 20 years before C4's will be anything but bottom feeders when it comes to value. The only real value they will ever have will be to their owners. Just too many of them around.
There is a business here I know that sometimes dismantles a complete C4 in 1 day. They have parted out several so every one they dismantle makes the value of ours go up. Very good guy to buy parts from too.
When you include words like rare, super rare, hard to find, best one around, none finer, etc this adds value to the car or some sellers thinks it does.

I don't know about everywhere else, but we've got the same situation here. Plenty of decent C4s available on Craigslist and dealer lots, but harder than hell to sell. Prices drop on the same cars every few weeks, and it's still rough, even on quite nice specimens.
You can buy a decent C5 for around 10 grand nowadays. Not alot out there for that but you can find them. I bought my 97 with 100k on it 3 years ago for $9800. Had to sell it though to buy the house. Damn Priorities!!!
