Default 1988 Help Needed PLEASE

I'm working on a 1988 automatic. Where is the a/c programmer located? I'm thinking this is the problem area?? The digital controller has been replaced, the servo blend motor has been replaced, yet the electric blend motor will only operate the door in one direction. When the desired temp is raised on the controler, the motor will move the arm, but when the desired temp is lowered on the electric controller, the the motor will not move the arm to close the door. All vacuum operated doors seem to be opening and closing properly.

On the firewall, above and to the right of the gas pedal, inside the car. It has the multicolored vacuum line connector. I always called it the controller, and the dash unit the programmer.

That's pretty vague (and unhelpful for those viewing this thread).

There are two resistors associated with the blend door motor on the HVAC programmer PC board. It's quite common for these resistors to burn up or get hot and crystalize the solder. There is one resistor for each direction the motor turns. These resistors are 140 ohms, 1 watt, 5% tolerance. Bottom left corner of this pic (you can see the discoloration caused by overheating):
