Help, What is the best cleaner to use on the inside windows. I cleaned them with windex and a couple of days later you can see spear marks. I used 409 and cleaned them once followed by fine steel wool, but that didnt work either. Any suggestions would help me see a brighter road.
I use a "tint safe" foam on all inside windows. I think the trick is to use a clean and dry papertowel as thorough final wipe. I've never had problems with streaking.
The Zep from Home Depot is really good. Also, Walmart carries a glass cleaner in the automotive section made by Gunk. I like all of the Foam type cleaners. Also, use newpaper to wipe off the glass. Newpapers are good to clean b/c it wont streak as bad. Try it!
I was given some Armoral glass wipes. These put a coating on the glass to make rain water streak off. I noticed that follow-on cleanings get a lot cleaner than before.
Actually it's called "Invisible Glass" and is made by Stoners..I get it at Pep boys also...I use it with 100% cotton towels..no paper towels :nono: ..when your done cleaning them wipe with a fresh dry towel and voila..it's all good..
p.s. this assumes you do NOT have tinted windows !

:yesnod: Invisible Glass works great. I use it religiously. Good alternative is Eagle 1 20/20 Glass cleaner.
I like GM Glass Cleaner. You should be able to buy it at any GM dealer. It doesn't streak like Windex. NEVER use steel wool, fine or otherwise on glass. It will scratch it. If you have accidentally sprayed Armorall on the glass, you can remove it with a solution of 1 part ammonia, 1 part Ivory or Dawn dishwashing detergent (without bleach), and 5 parts water. (This formula was given to me by Armorall.) You're also better off with paper towels, like Bounty, than with newspapers. They used newspaper for cleaning glass years ago when soluble inks were used. The ink would soak up the dirt. Today, newspaper inks are insoluble.
