I see a lot of different shocks listed on Eckler's, but how do I know if I have Z51 suspension or not. I do have the adjustable suspension, is that the same thing?

But seriously, you dont need to test that yourself, just look on the highway and eventually you will see a pick up truck with shocks worn out enough so that you can see the wheel hop. That is what cause tire cupping, and enough shake to cause you to loose some grip on the highway too.
Worn out or no shocks mean the tire...which is a spring...can set up undamped oscillations. This doesn't mean the suspension will automatically move with each revolution of the wheel when you have good shocks on the car.
Something has to deflect the wheel to cause the suspension to move. Reasonably balanced and round tires on a perfectly flat surface would not result in suspension movement. Unfortunately, we don't drive on perfectly flat surfaces.
That's what causes suspension deflections, not tire rotation.
