Could someone tell me how the same (supposly) DeWitts radiator is $495 on DeWitts web site, but only $390 from some ebay seller? And their shipping charge is also lower!

If this ebay seller is scamming people by listing/showing DeWitt's radiators dual row and then sending the single row or worse, some "knock-off", I hope someone is able to takes this guy down.
My first thought after finding the ebay listing was that it was a scam; showing DeWitt's raditors without Tom's knowledge and approval.
Tom: let us know if you find-out anything about this. I would enjoy reading about a scammer shut-down.
I respect the Mfg too - However, in CA at least, any Mfg demanding a set retail price is Price Fixing under the Anti-trust Statute and subject to all sorts of nasty stuff - ask Levi Strauss. Apple of course can get away with it in their stores - because it's their Store. And no, the aftermarket reseller - the Mobile Carriers - admit to nothing (because they're too busy making money) - but they are free to set their own price (or they're engaging in vertical price fixing which is illegal). Ok - any price that is "too good to be true" bears scrutiny. It could be hot or a fake or previously damaged and so on and so forth so caveat emptor needs to be in your back pocket when you're in the market for anything; particularly at Ebay or Craigslist.

Price fixing and (RPM) Retail Price Maintenence are two different things. Price fixing is when two competitor are conspiring together, to set retail prices so as to gain extra profits.
Minimum RPM is a vertical price restriction imposed by an upstream manufacturer on downstream distributors, dealers, or retailers. Typically, a manufacturer specifies a minimum price above which its retailers must sell its product(s). If retailers are discovered pricing below the specified minimum price, they are terminated or threatened with termination.
Sony, LeapFrog, Black & Decker, Cisco Systems, JVC, Samsung, and Panasonic have all employed minimum RPM strategies
Is there a reward for turning this ebay seller in??.....:
For some reason you seem to be on the warpath to take down this vendor. Tom already said he is free to sell it at whatever price he chooses. He can sell if for a buck if he choses to. Lighten up and move on. Go after the criminals in Congress if you want to take someone on.

Warpath only if the seller was scamming people. And Tom edited his response and removed a sentence that you likely did not read in which he remarked that he would be removing this seller as a distributor of his product. Now why Tom removed this is unknown and he has the right to do whatever he wants with his postings and his distributors...that is his business. Nowhere did Tom state that he could sell DeWitts radiators at any price he chooses.
Now as far as telling me to "lighten up and move on"....try adding something to a posting that is worthwhile and keep your opinion to yourself.
Why would you even assume it is a scam though?
If you do not feel comfortable, then do not make a purchase and buy directly from the factory at a different price.
The fact that you even found the ebay listing shows that you were looking at other options rather than buying directly from Dewitts.
I see no issues with shopping around or doing due diligences before making a purchase, but making a scam comment about an ebay seller that has only positive feedback seems a bit out of line for me.
In the end buy any radiator you want from anyone you want, from anybody you want, but dont make a big deal out something that could possibly be a good deal.
Easy boys, take it easy on LannyL81. He's just looking for a good deal and I'm glad he's not just buying one of the $200 imports. LannyL81, you should order the radiator from the ebay guy. That's serious good deal that probably won't last.

Maybe the company just made a mistake when they posted the radiator and price...People do sometimes make mistakes......After someone buys one at that price I'll bet you see a price revision real quick.........WW
