Correct color for 'TPI' letters on fender vents?
Doing some tinkering today. the 'Tuned Port Injection' letters are hard to see and I thought I'd carefully try to use some model paint to touch them up.
I picked up some gloss white, but examining what's left it looks like it's more of a metallic aluminum, although there are specks of white in there too(which could easily be whats left of the 25 year old paint against a metal core I suppose), I'm trying to figure out what color it's supposed to be.

I always thought that if I needed to do mine I'd use GM argent wheel paint for a color reference. Everything that GM did in the mid - late 80's if it had an insert that was colored the argent wheel paint looked like a good match.

I have several NOS sets, and the letters seem to be a silver-gold color. definitely not white.

I ended up going white after trying out some aluminum. If I had the OE sawblades it might look better, but I have a white car with black rims and no silver anywhere.
The white on black trim pops .
