While working under my car, I have noticed some light corrosion along the frame rails. Was the frame a bare aluminum, or was it painted/protected from the factory? I tried looking for pictures but had no luck. I am thinking of removing the corrosion and spraying some black or gray epoxy.

I didn't know that , I guess GM learned there lesson on the C3.. Alot of C3 Corvettes have rusted frames so bad they can't be repaired. I have seen C3 frames that were rusted completely through......WW
