The block essentially has two sections. Removing the knock sensor on the passenger side will drain this section. There is a pipe plug on the drivers side in about the same position as the knock sensor on the other side. Remove this to drain this half of the block. The 90 might have a knock sensor on both sides of the block.....not sure for this year.
When you remove the sensor of the plug, the coolant may not flow out. There is often a thin layer of rust that covers the inside lower part of the block. Just use a screw driver and poke it into the hole.....be prepared for a flood of coolant.

Here is the amount of coolant I got out of my block last week. This is how much I got out of both the passenger and driver's side well after the radiator was drained.
I recently drained my block and got about 3 - 4 quarts out of each side. The two sides are not connected together internally so you have to drain both sides.
Cars with the oil cooler option will have a hose fitting screwed into the driver's side instead of a plug. It's easiest to just remove the hose.
