I was at the tire shop yesterday getting my pickup worked on. I was chatting with the guy about cars and motorcycles. He said he was thinking about getting a new vette. He told me he would probably just keep the 80 vette because the tire where $779 each.
I bought crapped when he said that. I sure hope the C4 don't gun that high.

No, they don't. The newer corvettes have 19-20+ inch wheels, and can run a bit pricey, but there are some options out there.
The c4 (factory) came with 16's and 17's, tires are much cheaper in these rim sizes.
