What do you think the value is of a 84 vette?
160K was black but repainted yellow, owner says everything works. He is asking $7500. http://www.nextechclassifieds.com/listings/view/624060/
I may be cheap but I think that's is to much for a car with that many miles.
thanks again
Wendal I think your right that is to much for that car. If he had the paint job done professionally it cost a lot and that may be a factor in his price, but still not worth the price. For that kind of money you can find one with a lot less miles and in very nice condition. Look at Friz he sold his car for that amount and it was newer and way less miles.
glad to here from you. How is your c4 doing? I think Friz selling his car for that price kinda set the bar for me.
I see lots of cars for $10+ but don't see them selling for that.
I think he is going to be disappointed in what he gets for offers. Looks like the car may have red interior and yellow exterior. Not sure that would be for me.
anyway thinks again
As my dad used to say...."want in this hand, defecate in this one....see which one gets full quicker".
He can want whatever he wants for it. Sooner or later (probably sooner) reality will settle in. He will be in denial at first.....then he will be angry. He will move on to bargaining with prospective buyers. When he hears what they are offering, he will slide into a deep depression.....but alas, he will finally accept the $3500 the car is actually worth.
There are 84's worth $7500. This doesn't sound like one of them.

Sorry I didn't PM you when I saw your question in that other thread, if I don't do it right away sometimes it just doesn't get done.
I didn't sell my car. I never listed anywhere but the Forum and from the start was kind of half hearted about selling. I had a few offers but they weren't enough to let the car go. I've been driving it a lot the past few months and loving every minute of it.
Red and yellow is a bad combo and that would be hard to look at everyday. I wouldn't buy that car at half of what he's asking. Friz is right that guy has a rude awaking ahead of him. With so many nice C4s on the market it may be hard to sell that car.

not worth the asking price. not that it looks like an awful paint job, but yellow over red is not a color combo that is tasteful. the miles are high and we have no idea of what kind of maintenance or repairs the car has had done. plus, the rear wheel are on the wrong side....
if you like the car go and look at it and scrutinize every aspect of the car and don't pay more than $3500.
