Ive got a 90 vette base model that was rebuilt 12,000 or so ago. I recently started pushing oil out of my dipstick tube and oil fill cap. Changed pcv and checked hoses, as well as vaccum from the intake ports. Ive got no smoke from the pipes and no gas in the oil. The confusing part is that it runs like it always has and when the dipstick is removed no pressure comes out. Ideas anybody?
I would check the oil filter to see if it is plugged, if not there may be a sludge issue staring and clogging some oil chambers, this is a tough one to diagnos. Good luck.
The thing that gets me is the lack of pressure out of either place that oil gets pushed out. Ill change the oil and filter friday, hopefully that will cure it.
Ok i think i got it. I guess the vacuum port on the passenger side has weak vacuum. Blocked it off and put a t in the passenger side. All is well for now, thanks for the input.
