Default It is labor weekend.

I didn't know I was off on Monday until Friday.

After a 16hr day on Friday I woke up early Saturday and decided to make this "Corvette Weekend".

So far I have pulled the headlight assemblies and replaced the gears and bushings in both. I also managed to help the wife with some house cleaning, bathing and feeding the baby and cooking. I guess she didn't get the memo on "Corvette Weekend".

This is the main reason I dont have much time for the car anymore.. but its worth every second.

Laundry list is:
Fix exhaust leak..tighten clamps maybe

Finish wiring..replace loom behind engine and wire in new oil sender

Replace wiper motor that was crushed when the engine went in.

Adjust transmission cable.. wont go in low gear without a fight.

Remover head lamp assemblies and motor and replace motor gears and bushings.

This all needs to be done by Monday so I can take it to a local shop and have the transmission solenoids replaced.Once I get it back I need to wire in the old PCM to control the A/C, cruise and ABS.

It is a long weekend. I can always do a mini cruise in my 4-Banger daily driver.

The Ghost is out of commission, and Betty Boop is on jack stands without a differential.

When my kids were little a vette wasn't even a possibility but I wouldn't change that for any amount of money. The very best part of life is the family and my vette is a distant second.

Well you got some much needed stuff done now you can take the day off to spend with that little cutie.

I saw the video of your car driving around the block and it sounded great.

I guess it wasn't in the cards.. I got the headlights, wiring and oil sender done then my garage door got stuck. Its closed, I doubt I can handle working in there tomorrow in 97 degree weather.

On the bright side I have oil pressure and my lights work.

Your little girl has the most amazing blue eyes! Better make an action plan now, before the boys come calling.

I didn't think it was finished but after seeing all the work thats gone into getting to where it is now it was good to see it rolling on its own power.

At that point it needed to be tuned. Right now I have a shift solenoid out so its shifting funny. Other wise the engine swap itself is done and its tuned and ready to run.

I should have left the L98 ECM in the car and used the LS PCM to run the engine and trans. I believe putting the L98 ECM back in place and feeding the CCM a handshake will get the rest of my functions back.

The plan right now is to get what you see in the list done so I can enjoy the car while it is cool, in a month or so. The A/C will be put back in play some day but no plan to put it in soon.
