Not only did they not contact you quickly, but I would think they would be happy to sell you a new set for cost, or at least a good discount, maybe in exchange for the old set (so they know you actually owned a set) I don't like companies that try to get the same profit off of me more than once

I still don't understand why the insurance company isn't the one running the issue to ground. That's what those monthly premium payments are for. I'd let them figure it out and if it meant I got a complete new system, then all the better.
I got a new 6 sp tranny out of my extended warranty because the backup lights wouldn't work.
