Took the car out last night to a local cruise. While I'm still having the hard start and idle issue the car is running great. Got some video to and from the cruise in. I need to get something on the back that sticks. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
In 2011 I got a complete new rear end from Newmanscarcreations.com with 3.73's. I could always spin the tires in first with the stock 3.33's but never in 2nd like this before. At the same time I went to a SPEC Stage 2+ clutch and alum. flywheel. It does rev really quick now. It is almost like when I had the ATI Procharger on it. Simply ridiculous. I also put in the DRM camber brackets in the back. I never went above 4700rpm in the video's and got on it at 3K rpm.
I'm running 315/35/17 Goodyear GSC's on the back with about 28 lbs in them. Thinking of going to Nitto 555's. I need something, it's roasting the tires in 2nd with ease as you can see.
My times at the strip are from 1999. I haven't been back since. I need to go but can't find the time and get everything aligned. I would hope now for a 11.4-5 around 122-123 but this is guessing lol.

Get a dedicated drag radial on it youll be happy
The "stickier street tires" wont cut it.
Taller sidewall even better.
The latest batch of M/T are crazy sticky
Thanks for the advice. Everyone keeps telling me about Nitto's. My buddy has a cobra that is 505rwhp and has the Nitto's. I wasn't a believer till I drove it. Didn't heat the tires up just drove awhile, then got on it hard, hit 2nd and just went. No chirp, nothing. I think he had the 555's. I want something that sticks but also will last some time and not wear quickly. I will look into the M/T's though.
