Default Radiator hose

Some history. Bought a 1994 corvette z07. Delivered to my house in Las Vegas. I have yet to see it. Also bought both FSM, but also in Las Vegas and I am in Saudi Arabia. Anyway

Was looking at some pic tonight and noticed a tee of the top drivers side radiator hose. Is that the TB coolent line?

I also know a lot do the bypass? I thought I read somewhere there were gaskets inside the TB that would dry up. Any truth to that.

That is the TB coolant hose and I can't see any reason that bypassing the TB could cause "gasket failure". I believe that the '95 + upper hose will replace that assembly that is on the earlier LT1 cars.

You should be able to replace the hose with a stock 95 and by pass the TB. If you by pass the TB going in, they you will have to do the same on the other side.

Look at your hoses when you get the car. They should be stamped with the date of manufacture. If they are original, I would suggest that you replace all of them including the heater hoses.

After some reading I have decided to replace that hose with a 95-96 hose. And somehow eliminate the hose altogether on the passenger side. Thanks for the help.

The TB by-pass procedure buys you nothing, unless you want to
remove a hose from the engine compartment. If hose removal is your desire, then go ahead, otherwise leave things alone.

A slightly lower intake charge temperature can result in an increase in performance.

Add the TB air-foil, and you will really perform.
