Default 383 Build Finally Complete

Have a lot of body and interior work left but the drive train is mostly complete. Mostly because something is always in need of attention on a 26 year old car.

Sounds great! Did you do the work yourself?

Hi, yes I did the remove and replace myself. I had a local builder put my motor together for me as I am not that mechanically incline.

Did you port the stock intake, what headers did you have on it and what size injectors. Sounds great.

The build.
Original L98 - Local engine shop clean/flux/clearance/assemble
383 Skip White rotating assembly.
190 Pro-comp heads
1.5 SS Roller Rockers
Comp Cams 268XFI HR13
Headers, Ebay Special's Shorty Ceramic SS. (required just a little hammer persuasion on passenger side cylinder tube and drivers side tube 2 i think, was just rubbing the steering knuckle).
Injectors Bosch 32lbs - FIC
Stage 4 port on Plenum and Base Intake, 1.75 ID ports
Stock Runners - ASM's wouldn't seal properly
58 MM Throttle body.
2400 Stall and 700R4 Tranny rebuild w/shift kit
AFR
AIR Deleted
Cats Deleted
Tru Dual Exhasut - courtesy of local muffler shop

Hasn't been dyno'd yet but I hope soon. I tried doing a budget build as is evident by some of the parts, I know I could have done more but it is just a cruiser not a track car.

I am thinking real numbers at the wheels should be 275-325, it is a lot fun and spins the tires so it was worth it.

Rhino, that is the worst question you could as me....LOL, does my wife know you?

Budget was 3k on engine, I am at 6k total but that includes 2200 in tranny work, new brake booster, new ECM, new overflow tank, new fuel pump, new starter, intake porting, asm runners, new new new.....

Now I just need new seat covers, door panels, steering wheel, and a fresh paint job....
