You know..as alot of you do, I belong to a vette club, and when I take my C4s to events with the club, as I am tooling along in a caravan of about 30 to 35 brand new C6s and fairly new C5s, I say to myself, If I broke down this second, half of these dudes would go.."got AAA?..Good, Adios!!!" and the whole gang would continue to whatever event we were heading for, leaving me to my wits. So..if you want to run in this crowd of weekend travels, heading for dinners, with the grey hair set, as I do, you wonder if you should upgrade to a more current, more reliable car. but where is the fun in THAT?, Of course when I blow a hose, I get under the car, and repair what's broken, this new car gang calls their service advisor...and has their baby towed via flatbed, to the stealership. Although I can likely afford a C7..I live in New England, I barely drive the C4s more than 30 good days in the Summer and the winter they are put up in storage. I want a C7...but..damn, I have to be retired to enjoy it..and that's still a few years away. But..I would take it..anyday!
The Camaro-esque brake lights are the biggest failing no doubt. The Corvette is supposed to be the trendsetter, not steal design cues from lesser vehicles. Just my opinion.
i don't really care. seems every model has a compromise. if this is a c-7's, they could have done worse.
i think they look sharp

Well i just bought a 95 vette recently because i like the body style better then any other generations i could have bought a c5 but i like c_4 style better. Now if u could put the technology and engine of a c-7 in my c-4 i would have the best of both worlds. I do like all vettes in all
I was at a Chevy dealer today and they had a red c7 next to a 1996 Gran Sport in there showroom. That c7 is just plain ugly. The rear hatch window is small and has blind spots even though it has the two little windows. The front grill is ugly and cheap looking, and whats up with the two little horns on the lower front bumper. The outsid mirrors stick out the side like some one forgo and glued them on. The rear light are ugly and Camaro like, like the front grill. Looking at them side by side really made the C4 look a whole lot smoother in its lines and curves. I was not under the hood or inside the c7 so i'm sure it is more luxurious that the c4. If one was to wrk in the engine compartment, you definitely will need to cover up the fenders to keep from damaging them. No class and no style. I'm even prouder now to own a real C4 Corvett and it's a "Ruby".

thats how i feel to.
sure must have been some c-3 fans (hated the changes) that felt the same when the c-4 came out.
The C4 is a very good looking car, regardless of its age. However, saw a C7 in person today and if someone thinks it's ugly they are crazy. Very sexy car.
When I first saw the C7 in pictures, I didn't like it. But now that I've seen in in person, I've changed my mind. I'll never own one (too many $$$$for me), but you can bet I'd take one in a heartbeat. Still love my C4 though. With every modification I do to the old C4, it has become the sports car I always wanted. The C5,6,&7 wouldn't be the cars the are without the ground breaking innovations that started with the new electronic age in the old C4's.
these are the ones I snapped at the BHCC this year. I think the C7 looks wider leaner and meaner but I still like the looks of my C4. To see the C7 in person gives many a good shot of the "WOW" factor. The interiors are top notch compared to any previous generation. When I first saw pics of the tailights I wasn't a fan...seeing them in person in front of me changed my mind faster than a C7 whipping past a C1 in a drag race (on a track of course )

The car is a freaking Chevy, not a Ferrari.
GM cars have shared design cues from other GM cars since the first ones rolled off the line.
When I first posted this, I should of referred to the 92-96 C4 as far as exterior style is concerned. I was not able to see inside the C7 as it was locked perhaps because it had a sold sticker on it. ASTEPUP's pictures are just about what I seen at the dealer with the blue Gran Sport. That small hood seems like it would be hard for an owner to work on the car, compared to when you open the clam shell on a C4. perhaps the fenders come off easy on the c7, or just drop the engine out the bottom to change spark plugs. But maybe again the plugs are million mile plugs along with anything else that may never needs to be replaced!!! If I was given a C7 I guess I could make a deal with someone here on the forum and be able to buy several nice C4's!!! Now will the new LT1 engine fit in a C4??? And who will be the first to do it?
Ok, after seeing the new C7 in person today, I can honestly say I would love to have one.
Drove down to Eureka Springs, AR for the day.
Rained pretty much the whole trip, but that didn't keep most of the Corvettes away.
I learned today that I need new tires before I drive the Vette in the rain again.
Here are 3 C7's that will never be able to say "Never seen rain".
