I have a 93 convertible that I changed out the stock radio with an Eclipse with navigation. I kept the stock Bose speakers and used a wiring harness adapter. I think the problem I have is with the security system. Before I did the swap out I could lock the doors with the door switch and the doors would lock and the alarm would be set. I could then unlock the drivers side with the key and someone would open the passenger side and the horn would start blowing. The only way it would stop would be to put the key in the ignition. Well after the swap it would still do that, but then I would have other issues like the horn would start blowing in the middle of the night for no reason. Then the radio started acting crazy. The A/C controls would start blinking and it would stop working and I would have to disconnect the battery to reset it. Now I can hear a clicking noise and the horn will go off for no reason in the middle of the night. It will kill the battery and I have to disconnect it to charge the battery because the horn will keep blowing until it gets a full charge. Is there a way to disable the security system or does anyone know what the heck is causing these symptoms? Thanks
