This is a common issue on 96 Corvettes, so I'm not sure if this will be the same on the 93 or not. It is most likely an issue with the hvac programmer unit. Read this thread for some ideas on how to address the issue.
I will be working on this tomorrow. I took off the right fuel rail cover and at the back of the cover looks like a check valve but it looks metal. Is this the correct thing I'm looking at?
Don't know how I missed that. Okay I took the valve off. It seems like the valve does hold suction but I'm going to replace anyway. Now the two lines from the left side that exits. The angled line ( bottom ) line holds suction. The straight line does not. Is that my problem? And if so how the hell do you find where it runs to?
My cruise is not working. Are we talking about the check valve under the fuel rail cover?
Check the cruise control vacuum hose just above the Battery for a leak.
My 91 Vettes cruise control vacuum line directly above the battery, had a hole in it which caused the cruise control to not operate. I replaced the vacuum line and it worked perfectly again!...
Follow the vacuum lines. it should become pretty obvious.
On my car the vacuum line for the HVAC goes through the firewall in the wiring harness bulkhead feedthrough behind the passenger side head. It's probably in the same place on your car.
