Default paint codes

Can anyone tell where I can find the paint code on my car? Im guessing its on the label on the console lid but which code/ number is it? for the record its a 94 black coupe, someone kindly drove into the righthand rear fender yesterday in a car park....not too much damage but enough to cost about $350 to put right, they left their number on the screen and although its a legitimate number it wont connect,Im thinking they panicked when they got home and unplugged the phone, hoping I'll "go away"..but I wont

the paint code will be on your RPO sticker - on a 94, i'm guessing under the console lid, but having never owned a 94, not 100% sure. anyway the GM paint code for a 94 black corvette is WA8555 -

earlier C4's had the paint code stamped onto a metal plate on the right side of the engine bay on the mounting platform for the hood lock.

here's a pic from an earlier car for reference:

The '94 paint code will be on your RPO Sticker.
Either under the console lid, or perhaps under the storage compartment lid behind the passenger seat.

For a Black '94, your should see a code of 8555
It might be listed like this: U 8555 or even U 8555 L 8555
The "U" and "L" is for upper and lower (to cover two tone cars).

Anyway look for that 8555 along the bottom of the RPO sticker.

WA Code: 8555

Yep.

Bottom Line:
BC/CC = Base Coat / Clear Coat
WA- U8555 (Upper Color = Black)

Since is isn't a two tone, there is no "L" code listed.
