Default What a difference for small $$$$

I have had my 87 coupe for 5 months now. Before I purchased it I drove 2 other C4 coupes which were in pretty bad shape so I had no idea how a decent c4 should run.
Mine ran OK or so I thought based on the previous test drives I had made. It would not break traction to save your %^$#$. I just came to the conclusion this was as good as it would get, little disappointed to tell you the truth.
I replaced the check valve behind the distributor and the vacuum lines I saw that were cracked. I also changed the TPS sensor, the idle leveled out and the car was running god but here comes the surprise.
I was on the blvd making a left at the light and had a car in front of me. I hit the gas and the rear end came around on me and scared the &+%$ out of me. Where did that come from I thought?
Little later I was out in the country heading home and thought lets see what it will do now. Left it in drive and hit the gas. She smoked the tires until it hit second gear. I let off the gas at 103 mph, that's fast enough.
I am 55 years old so not much on being a hot rod anymore but it sure feels good to have it run like a Vette should.
She may be just an everyday L98 with 156,000 miles but she impressed me with just a few bucks and a little of my time.

My wheels are on backwards...... If I fixed that she would run even better!!!

Default Congrats

Good looking ride there, and congrats on the subtle improvements. Always great when things run right.
