We are going to need a lot more info( Miles, trans, service records, interior shots) to give advice. Post a link, if you have one.

Looks like a decent car. Miles are good, seats have been recovered. I would pull a carfax/autocheck on it before I though about making an offer. Ask him what service and repairs have been done. If carfax is clean, I would offer 7500.00.

Before you buy it, ensure it has manifolds, and catalytic converters. Long tube headers with or without cats are not legal in CA.

$7,500 would be an appropriate offer for a 92 coupe automatic. That listing said the value is $15,000....yeah right

I paid $18,500 for my 92 Vert in 1997 fully loaded.

If it's in good shape I'd pay $7500.

Got it, if it does have the long tube headers, would I need to buy stock? I also found another which is sold by a small dealer ship idk which would be more reasonable.

That 94 has a interesting body kit. LOL. The wheels on it are long out of production, good luck finding centers for the front. IMHO, I like the 92 better, but then again, this is YOUR car, not mine.

"you will not find this car in this condition i guarantee it!"

That line in the Craigslist ad would scare me away.

In all seriousness, if you're looking for a nice automatic C4, this looks to be a pretty good deal. I agree with the $7500 offer as well.

Unless he removed the CATS after the smog check, they should be on the car otherwise it would have flunked the test.

If the "pictures don't lie" as the others have said $7500 should get you what looks like a nice car.
Good luck in your search!

My son and I test drove that craigslist car a few weeks ago, btw, that car is now listed in the CF For Sale forum for $9,995. Interior was very clean but there was a dashcover glued down so we couldn't tell if it was there to cover something up. The exterior was in good condition, but had a lot of little paint chips, the weather stripping was in decent shape. One of the headlight motors sounded like it was going. He told us it was owned by the proverbial old man, but when I asked him if he had any records from the "old man", he said no. The thing that worried us most was the owners story. He's only had the car for a very short time, when I asked him why he was selling so soon after buying it he said he had been in a major accident in his BMW and needed a car so he purchased the Vette. He said his back was hurt in the accident and he was finding it too hard entering and exiting the vette. I thought to myself, with all the cars out there and his back so messed up from his accident, why in the world would he get one of the hardest cars to get in and out? He supposedly lives in AZ, but was staying with his sister in CA.

My son liked the car so I told the seller the car was way overpriced at $9,995 and offered him $7,500 cash. He never said a word, just sat there looking at me. While this was going on, my son was inside the car checking that everything worked. He pushed in the hazard flasher button and the flasher turned on but it wouldn't turn off. We tried everything to pull the button back out, I finally pulled the fuse so his battery wouldn't die. My son and I left after that.

The owner called my son a couple of weeks later and said he would take $8,500, but my son had already purchased a very clean 94 with 60,000 miles with 2 tops for $8,900, my son posted some pics in the intro section, his forum name is slapusilly10x...take a look.

I think $7,500 - $8,000 for the car the op is asking about would be a good deal. My son and I looked at and drove a lot of cars in his quest to join the corvette family but almost gave up after seeing what's out there for the money. Good luck.

As my dad mentioned, the car was very clean and had the guy been willing to go down to $7,500 I would have walked away with the car.

A couple of side notes my dad did not mention:

-- the driver power seat does not go backwards.
--There is an aftermarket stereo head unit installed, it appeared to work properly.

Hell no that isn't reasonable. I paid $8300 for my '92 six speed with 100,000 miles on it and it wasn't in as good of condition as that car appears to be.

Lol. I kid of course. Unfortunately when I was in the market, my car was the only one in the state of Missouri (as far as Craigslist goes) that had a 6 speed w/ the LT1 that was in my price range. I was not going to drive an automatic or an L98. No hate on the L98... but I was replacing my '96 Mustang GT so I was dying for more power. That thing was gutless.
