Default Ordered my wheels!!!

I ordered my black ZR-1 style wheels or my black 88 coupe from OE Wheels. I ordered all 4 - 17" x 9.5". Will this size fit my 88 stock. I plan on dropping an inch also. I was going to get 11 inch wide in the rear but I have new rubber on the factorys and can't really afford new rubber. Also has anyone ordered from this company before? Good/Bad? Thanks!

Yeah maybe it is but I'm just curious if anyone else ordered from this company. I did research on the factory wheels and know that they are 17 by nine and a half I was just curious if that was right.

You're good. OE wheels are good. I have a few sets , no complaints.

I've a set also I'm pleased with. Several years now.

You should be good and there was a rather interesting thread recently where someone asked when he was considering a buy - I would have thought a prospective buyer would have come across it. I don't know if OE still offers both styles of rim lip flanges but they did at one time. You had the choice of an actual "replica" or the wider lip finished flange some like.

You know pics are required when you get them mounted.

Good point, especially the aesthetics of the wider machined lip. To me, they are "love 'em or hate 'em" looks. Personally, I opt for the narrow machined lip.

I like those ZR1 repro wheels. They are pretty cheap on ebay. Do we know where they are made or who manufacturers them? I'm also curious what the 17x9.5 weigh as well.

I'd like a cast performance wheel that is track proven and doesn't break the bank. Miata drivers have the lots of choices like the excellent light weight 6UL wheel from 949 racing. Do C4's have an option like this?

Not all wheels are created equal and I wouldn't want to put something on the car that is inferior or weighs more. The good manufacturers really document the specs of the wheel.

I myself and several others have been running the OE WHeels for autox and HPDE's for several years with no issue. The only type to be cautious about would be the chrome plated versions, it has been said that the chrome process weakens the cast and can break. There was a video buzzing around a couple years ago where a chrome plated wheel breaks on the track. Not sure whos wheel it was.
