No factory key fob for an '86.
Keyless entry didn't become available on the Corvette until 1993.
The alarm is set by locking the doors.
Then you use the key in the door lock cylinder to unlock which will disarm the alarm.

GM made an add-on keyless entry system for their vehicles. I have one on my '86. The one I have is VSS-200. I doubt you could still find one of those. One feature I like is that with an extra relay and some wiring (described in the instructions) I can open my hatch with the fob. The fob only has lock and unlock buttons, but I can open the hatch by holding down the unlock button.
The VSS-200 was superseded by VKE1000. This one has a nicer fob with 4 buttons.
The cool thing about these units is that the instructions tell you exactly how to connect it, with wire colors and instructions on how to make sure you're tapping into the correct wires. You must have power door locks to use these kits.
