In another life, back in the '70's, I was the Owner/Operator of a full service, Mobil Gas station. One of my customers had a 1974 Corvette that he just HAD to tinker with. Someone really should have taken his tools away from him!

Anyway, I would wind up repairing his screw-ups and as a result, he started to call me, "Dr Dyno" (as in dynamometer). Several years later when the internet went public and I was looking for a screen name, my wife reminded me of Dr Dyno! It's been DrDyno ever since.

I flew with the 60th Assault Helicopter Company ( and the 129th AHC) in Vietnam, as a doorgunner/crewchief. The 60th call name was the Ghostriders. I had to put an "A" in my nic to get the name.

My plate on the Corvette read 1bdvet, and have used that on all the forum I belong to even the gun forums.

Pretty simple for me. I like Vettes and added my name to it.

MRANT is short for Mr Anthony. I was from NY and the 212 comes from my old area code and the address of a beach house that I rented back in the day in Belmar NJ.

I wanted something simple but wasn't taken. To my surprise, blk92c4 was available for the 92' I purchased in Sept. I joined the Navy to buy a Vette, but didn't know it only paid 10K a year in 1993!! Better late than never I guess 👍

My life started when i bought a 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000D cafe racer and fixed it up enough to make it rideable again. I got a taste for speed and went through a series of fast kwakkers. As I age the riding gets scarier so I'm moving to four wheels. I may have to change the name to colonel corvette.

I joined the Navy 12 January 1972. That first year earnings was just over $3k. I retired in 1998 and still had to wait to afford a used 1990 at age 59. When I joined a basic Vette could be had for $5500. I bought a Vega....
