Price Guidance
I have found one at a dealer (Rogers) that is a 10,000 mile Vert, with a removable hard top. I will have to travel to see it in person so I am trying to do some market research before I take the trip.
They are asking $24K, and the photos appear to depict a beautiful vehicle, and if as seen on line, one that I would enjoy.
I understand that prices of any car are condition dependent, but what is advice from the C4 brethren regarding price range?
the possible problem with the car you listed may be that the value goes down sharply as you drive it and add miles. it is a C4 with 10,000 miles.
there is always negotiation

. Just because it has 10,000 miles doesn't make it worth that. I have seen ZRI's & Grand Sports as nice going for that. $13000 TOPS in todays market. Another thing its not even an LT4 or a CE and its an Auto. Keep looking.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Wow, did the value of our cars double overnight?? Just remember, the forum is pretty tough on pricing all cars but their own.
The car reminds me of one that a rich husband gave his wife for a toy and she already had a Mercedes or a Caddy. It is a really clean example of a roadster tho. Honestly if you are happy with it thats all that matters. I definitely would beat him up on it.
Good luck with your search!
Not everyone wants a C5. I bought an 04 convertible new and sold it recently because my C4 is usually the one I'd rather drive.

Don't they know about this forum?
It's a clean 96 vert with the hardtop included and only 10k miles. They would be more in line with a price (starting) at $18,000. But who knows? There may be a real buyer willing to pay close to what they originally stated if he really wants that certain car. It does happen once in a while.

too.
I guess you could buy it, park it and hope to break even in 15-20 years.
Or you could buy a clean one with average miles, enjoy driving it as you fix some little things here and there.
I just bought an 1993 LT1 Auto and a 1994 LT1 6 speed and could add another for the price of that one.
1993 with new top, head lights fixed.

1994 LT1 6 speed, new top.

I still have $9000 left over to make them right, drive them and let them become low mileage cars and maybe make some money down the road.
Just my opinion but for that money you could buy a nice C3 (1968-1973) set on it and make some money down the road.

Depending on how wealthy or how much they want the car. A good seller knows how to go to those type buyers. On this forum expect no more than $9000.00 tops from some members. And it should have a 100% warranty, free oil changes, tire replacements, free inspections for life, low miles, towing, loaner car and all documented repair history.
