So that is what I did about the hot running thingy.

If you are reaching 235°F during winter time, fix it now before the summer gets here.

The first month I had mine I "freaked out" in traffic when the analog gauge went very high. Did not try the digital gauge till later! Had the system flushed and put in new thermostat and checked the fans but it still seemed a little high. After reading numerous posts about high temps I learned that this is the way Corvettes run, 190 in clean air and 230 in traffic. My fans kick in about 228 and temps go right down or quicker if I put the A/C on. Now I am as Alfred E. Neuman said "what me worry"! Also I alway leaved the gauges in the digital mode now.

One of the biggest problems I could see with the higher temps was the underhood air temps got way to high . In 25 years alot of the rubber and plastic pieces under the hood got brittle and had to be replaced because of the heat..With the Dewitts high speed fan coming on at 200 degrees the temps under the hood are way lower.. That Dewitt's fan moves alot more air then the stock fan ........WW
