Default Oh no...

Well as I was taking off the second coat of Z5, I noticed something disturbing and took some pictures. Here you go.

This is the driver side:

This is the passenger side:

If you didn't notice in the pictures there's a rather large gap on the driver's side between the side vents and the hood. The passenger side is totally normal. Anyone have ideas?

As to why it got like that I don't know. You should be able to adjust it at the latch. I think all the C4's are basically the same latch, you just tighten down on the spring a little bit until you get the desired clearance.

Oh yeah might want to make sure the bottom part has not came loose and slid down as well.

I would start with the bottom piece and adjust that..they come loose and easy to adjust by the torx heads inside the fender well

Did you have your battery changed ??? This needs to be taken off to change your battery and was not lined up correctly

I will try that, since the hood is perfectly straight. It's perfecly aligned with the front pieces, so I assumed it was the side vents piece, but I got worried that it was in an accident  . I'll be back when I get it done, I don't think we have the proper tools to adjust it... nothing for torx. At my house it's fixable if it's a Phillips, Allen, Flathead, nut, or bolt.

Fixed :D

Thank you very much iceburgh68. I didn't realize it was something so simple. Both sides need adjusting once I got it outside. The passenger side vent was sticking out about 1/4". Both sides look great now, and all the torx screws are tight. I'm happy as a Corvette-owning clam. :D

It has the mudflap things on it. I assume that the installation of them made the pieces not line up correctly.
