I seem to have narrowed my search for my first vette to a yellow one with a manual transmission. I think yellow is relatively rare. Can someone tell me or get me a link on production years and quantities of the yellow? Thanks!
In '86 there were 732 yellow coupes.
1987 only 572 coupes were yellow.
317 in 1988.
2,338 in 92
390 in 96.
Not sure how many of those are manuals.
I don't know where you obtained your breakdown ratio of coupes/convertibles per year, but my Black Book lists corvettes by color per year, and states there were 678 yellow Covettes built in 1992. 2,338 ???
I am glad there are more yellow cars on the road nowadays. Yellow has taken the lead as the most ticketed color so remember you have a target painted on you!
While a yellow C4 may have low production numbers dont let anyone sell you a bill of goods that the 17+ year old car is worth more than any other just cuz its yellow. With the high overall production numbers of C4s, color has no real bearing on pricing.

I own a 1991 yellow coupe, and would agree with this statement. Buy yellow because you like it, not because you think it is special. I will be selling my coupe in the spring. Here is a picture. Yellow will turn heads and bring smiles. I have seen it a lot owning this car.

1996 Yellow LT4: http://www.96lt4.com/LT4/yellow/schr96.jpg
This is Brandt Kessler's 96 LT4 vert. According to his web site it is 1 of 11 that were made:
Here is one that was for sale at Bloomington Gold 2009:
The sticker on this one said it was one of 17. If my memory serves me correctly it went through the Mecum Auction as a "no sale" at around $22,000. I also recall that it was a rather low-option car.
Looked for over a year for a nice low mile 95-96 yellow coupe with beige int......finally gave up and bought an arctic white '95 recently. Like it but wish I had found the yellow......
Just keep it in the garage. All of the yellow ones I see are really sun faded with the end caps taking most of the damage. I'm in S. FL so we have pretty intense sunlight though approaching laser beam intensity in the summer.
We had a yellow 95 coupe that we bought off the forum from Allentown PA. Had it shipped to Victoria BC. It was and still is the BEST looking Corvette I have ever seen. My wife sold it while I was on the road.
We also had a 93 yellow convertible that we bought in Wenatchee WA and drove it home ( the a raging friggin' snow storm over Snoqualmie Pass). Nice car, but I didn't care for the sound of the LT exhaust when the top was down.. I eventually sold that one too.
