I'm looking for some seat belts for a C4. I found some on the net that are "graphite grey". I really wanted black. In the pics, they look black. But sometimes things look different on the puter. Is graphite grey a fancy way of saying black. I could except dark grey, but I don't want even a medium grey. Can anyone confirm what that color means.

I am sending you a PM right now on a place to get them from.
Thanks to all who responded. Ccrazor, on my IPad, graphite, black and ebony all look the same. LOL.
They might look the same on a computer screen, but there is definitely a difference between them.
Just think of Graphite as a darker Gray.
Hard to say if it would be dark enough for you though.
If you were to hold it up to a Black piece you would notice the difference.
Sorry to disagree, for the 84 black was not an option for the interior, the graphite shown in my previous post is the color of my interior.. If you like, tomorrow I will take a picture of one of my dash parts..
I have the graphite interior and it looks closest to the "14 light gray" in ccrazor's pic. Here's a picture of my seat belts to give you an idea of what they look like (I knew the flash was going to blast the color, but oh well -- those are the original cloth seat covers, by the way):
As promised here is a pic. of one piece of my dash..

The same image in my workshop
I understand that GM used several colors for the interior and may have called it graphite, but as I stated, my graphite interior would appear to be more black than any shade of grey.. As stated in my previous post, black was not an option in 84, and if you compare graphite and black in a previous post, I challenge anyone to tell me the black is more black than the graphite.. This is definitely not a normal shade of grey..
dash pieces were always black, even if you had a red interior =) what would be graphite is your carpet, seats, etc. let me dig up some pics on photobucket of the graphite in my old 85. its not black but it was the closest you could get from 84-87

If you think that the Black is not blacker than the Graphite, you should have your eyes checked. I have a Graphite interior.
