My check engine light came on while goosing throttle to get on interstate. Car ran rough and light did not blink. Stayed on. After getting home and restarting engine, light went out. 1985 C4 w/at.
You need to find out what the code is, you can do this by stopping by most any auto parts store and they will check it for free or do a search here and see what pins to jump on the ALDL plug to read the code.
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I jumped A & B on ALDL and got the following err codes. 13, 33, 34, 43, 44. Could this be an oxygen sensor issue here?
First Corvette and don't want to throw a lot of $s replacing different sensors if not needed. 1985 AT w/54000 mi.
Usually if you get a bunch of error codes it's because of bad grounds.
There is one main ground on the engine that everything ECM related goes to. On my car it's above the oil filter on the side of the block. I know in earlier years it was on the back of the driver's side head. I'm not sure if that was '84 only or '84 and '85.
