Viking coilover install!
Well today I went out and spent a couple hours installing the coilovers on my car. I more or less just got the brackets made and mocked everything up before final install tomorrow. I made my new rear brackets out of 3//8 plate steel. I moved the shock bushing hole 3/8 of a inch forward and used my factory Bolt holes. Is was extremely easy and I am 100% satisfied with what I have into this.
I used 9 inch springs all the way around and they cleared the dog bone trailering arm bolts in the rear by 3/8 of a inch. That was better than I could have hoped for. The only modification I had to do was make the plates and grind 7/16 forward on the original frame mounting hole to allow for the bushing to clear.
I ordered some EM sway bar links and that will take car of the sway bar clearance in the front. Total install price for dual adjustable coilovers was 1300 or so. Not bad considering what other companies are selling these things for!
