I HAVE A 90 coupe in need of a complete brake job. After much research there is certainly no shortage of different products out there. Without breaking the bank, does anyone have a recommendation on good quality parts? Corvette Central seems to have the best supply and they offer several in a package deal. Really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.
What sort of use does the car see? For general daily driving/cruising use, there are a number of good sources for stock replacement brake parts. NAPA, Rockauto.com, CarQuest and others will have decent prices on stock replacement parts.
I would suggest AC Delco reman calipers (Centric is good too), Raybestos or Centric for rotors, street use ceramic pads from Hawk or CarboTech, AC Delco hoses, and DOT3 brake fluid like Castrol LMA, Valvoline SynPower, or even the Ford HD MotorSports fluid (you'll need about 3 pints for a complete flush).
I also have a 90 coupe, and most likely, within a year, i'll do pads, rotors, and SS brake lines - right now, I'm looking at this package -

pricewise, I'm thinking this might be a decent, middle of the road setup. I have used a package from brake-motive, and I had zero issues. if I'm not mistaken, they are a forum vendor.
