Every car care product company claims to be #1. 
Meguiers, Mother's, Adam's, Eagle One and most others protect just fine and last about the same!...It just depends on how much you want to spend.

I like Meguiars products but, before any of the polishes or waxes are used, the vehicles surface must be Clay Barred to get rid of the micro surface contaminates.
After the clay bar is used, I use Meguiar products which are readily available, work great and are inexpensive.
After each day of driving, I use a thick high quality Micro Fiber Polishing cloth and wipe the vehicles surface with a spray detailer.

Just for info........ I recently used a Kiwi carnauba liquid paste wax purchased 14 years ago, and the shine is equal to all my 'new tech' waxes with no increase in effort. The cost at that time was $2 - 16oz bottle. Advertising sells............
